About Me
I’m a local. I’ve lived in Nelson Tasman for 45 years, so I’m very familiar with local climate, soils and council processes.
I was a builder for 34 years before retraining as an architectural designer 16 years ago.
My unique experience as designer and builder means that I can create practical, cost‑conscious designs that are easy for builders to work from.
I deliver plans that reflect your vision but also meet council and code requirements. To date I’ve had nearly 400 plans receive building consents.
I have excellent relationships with a great bunch of specialists who I can call upon as required, including: structural and geotechnical engineers, resource consent consultants, truss manufacturers, fire safety and compliance consultants, project managers and suppliers.
I can also recommend good, reliable local builders.

I bring my experience as a builder and architectural designer.
It’s my job to transform your vision into detailed building plans which meet council and code requirements.
When the plans are complete, I see them through the consent process, and remain available during the building stage.
NB: If you are not used to reading plans and architectural drawings, I can provide 3D internal and external views to help you visualise your new building or renovation.
